Traditional incident investigations look for root causes and focus heavily on what the involved people should have done. Unhelpful. Instead, I take a whole system, applied psychology approach so you can get a true understanding what happened, how and why. We go beyond the binary of did or didn't do and we explore the why. It's here that you see the real weaknesses in your system of work, and where your team may need extra support. 

Investigations are hard for everyone involved. With my expertise in psychological safety and the fact that I'm just a good human, you and your team will be guided with great care and kindness.

Understanding Ongoing Performance Issues

This is where we look deep into the layers of your system of work and your culture, beyond the confines of what's considered health and safety. 

You've got enough on your plate without having to manage repeat incidents and fed-up frontline teams.

Package 1: Discovery 
  • Two days on site for discovery.
  • Report detailing what is working well, what is missing and recommendations. 
  • One hour debrief with the Executive team.

Package 2: Deep Dive

Building on from the work done in the Discovery, we go into deeper detail to better understand the underlying mechanisms that have delivered the unwanted outcomes you are seeing. We move from identifying the what and explore the why and how. 

Investment: Discovery package + $300 + GST per hour. 

 

 

 

Setting Up for Success

As much as we can, we want to take a proactive approach to health and safety. This means giving yourself, your Executives and your frontline teams the knowledge and understanding that enables sound decision making and safe outcomes in both Work as Imagined and Work as Done contexts. It's all about the relationship between our brain, our mind and what we do in real time in our system of work. 

Package One: Frontline Workshops

Package Three: Survival Mode Risk Assessment Tool

We know that when life is throwing wrenches, staying safe at work becomes that much harder. It's hard to talk about the really hard stuff, so we keep it quiet and hope for the best. This means that you'll have people who are physically at work but mentally somewhere else.

In high hazard environments, this increases the likelihood that critical controls will be incorrectly applied or that mistakes will occur where there's no system safety net. 

Imagine if you could account for reduced emotional capacity before any harm occurred?

  • Designed to give leaders actionable insight without frontline workers having to spill the beans before they're ready. 
  • Carefully chosen questions from an array of peer reviewed diagnostic tools to provide you with a survival mode quotient, that enables you to see the invisible loads your team may be carrying. Supported with interpreted insight with expert commentary and pragmatic recommendations that enable you to reduce risk, improve team cohesion and act decisively.
  • This clever tool is multi-functional and can be used to assess capacity before a complex, high risk job or to check in with teams across the year. 

Investment: Access to the Survival Mode Risk Assessment tool starts at $1500 + GST per team (up to 15 participants), per use. There are a range of other options available depending on your needs and team sizes. 

 

Package Four: Strategy Development Workshop 

When we have done a whole lot of learning and discovery, we want to make sure that it's integrated into our everyday approach to health and safety. Not just in the Health and Safety team, but across the entire organisation. This takes strategy. 

  • Half a day. 
  • Including the Health and Safety team and Operations Manager.
  • Pre workshop prep meeting with homework. 
  • Take away template.

Package Five: Coaching for Frontline Supervisors and Managers

It's one thing to understand something, it's another to apply it. That's where I can help you. When we lift the health and safety capability of our frontline leaders, safe outcomes for the team are far more likely. 

  • One to one coaching - virtual or in person. 
  • Scheduled or on call.
